MSF said that at the hospitals it supports in Korem and Alamata the number of war-wounded rose from about 180 in the first 48 hours to more than 420 between 22 and 25 September 2026, and that Suhul Hospital in Shire admitted more than 300 wounded patients by 25 September. Deteriorating security forced MSF to suspend its activities at Alamata Hospital and its community outreach; staff were reassigned to emergency triage at hospitals in Shire, Sheraro and Korem, where maternal and paediatric care continue. MSF said it was concerned for civilians' safety and access to care.
